Bunker Holding Appoints Chief Operating Officer
Global marine fuels group Bunker Holding has appointed a new chief operating officer.
Mikkel Kannegaard has taken on the role of chief operating officer at Bunker Holding as of May 13, the company said in an emailed statement.
Kannegaard joined the firm as head of its global supply organisation in August 2025. He was previously global head of growth at DHL Global Forwarding.
Kannegaard had earlier worked as head of Maersk Oil Trading from 2021 to 2023, for Monjasa from 2017 to 2021, for Damco from 2015 to 2017, for 36-Strategies from 2013 to 2015 and for AP Moller-Maersk from 2005 to 2013.
"Mikkel has made a strong impression since joining," Peder Møller, CEO of Bunker Holding, said in the statement.
"He has brought operational strength and a clear sense of direction to an important area of our business.
"His promotion to COO reflects both his contribution so far and the confidence we have in him going forward."
Kannegaard's previous role was geared towards clearer alignment between Bunker Holding's global expertise and local agility, according to the statement. That work will continue in his new role.
"Since joining, I have been met with a strong culture and a clear ambition to move the business forward together," Kannegaard said.
"I would like to thank the leadership team for the trust they have placed in me.
"And I especially want to recognise the teams across the Group for their dedication and collaboration that have made the progress so far possible. I look forward to building on the momentum we have created together."
