Island Oil Appoints Jesper Jervild as Head of Trading, Dubai & Singapore Offices

Island Oil (Holdings) Ltd (Island Oil) has appointed industry veteran Jesper Jervild as its Head of Trading, Dubai & Singapore Offices, the company has announced in an emailed press release.

The company said the appointment, which is effective today, July 13, 2015, was "within the scope of Island Oil steady growth plans."

Ali Adil, who was hired by Island Oil as Head of Trading in Dubai last November, is understood to have left the company.

Jervild has some 23 years of experience in the industry, and spent a large portion of that at OW Bunker.

He was a director at Dynamic Oil Trading (DOT), heading up the OW Bunker subsidiary's operation in Dubai until November last year, before launching bunker broking company Liberty Marine FZ LLE (Liberty Marine) in January.
