IBIA Announce Board Appointments
The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) today announced the appointment of Jens Maul Jørgensen of Oldendorff Carriers as its Vice-Chairman, meaning he will replace current Chairman Simon Neo in April 2014.
In addition, IBIA said that Dilip Mody of Global Fuels & Lubricants has been re-appointed Honorary Treasurer.
Welcoming the appointments in an emailed press release, Neo said:
"I'm delighted to be supported in my role as IBIA chairman by Jens. As marine fuel buyer for a major shipping company, he brings an important perspective to the association at a time when owners are looking at the impact of ECAs and low sulphur regulations."
"Dilip has been a loyal IBIA member, has huge experience in the Indian market and has been with us since our inception in 1993," he added.
In March the association named Captain Peter Hall as its new chief executive following the resignation of Cliff Brand, who stepped down after 5 months in the position to take up the role of Marine Director with King Abdullah Economic City Seaport in Saudi Arabia.
