Peninsula Appoints General Manager in Japan
Marine fuel supplier and trading company Peninsula has appointed a general manager in Japan.
Alonso Young was promoted to the role of general manager in Japan last month, as per his LinkedIn profile update.
He has been involved in shipping and bunker fuels since 1991.
Young joined Peninsula in 2002. He most recently served as head of business development in Gibraltar, a role he held from March 2025 until taking up his new position.
Before that, he was supply manager at Peninsula Petroleum in Gibraltar for more than 22 years.
He also previously served as the company's general manager for the Americas.
He has also held roles at Marine Oil Trading, Shell, Marine Oil Broking and Promotora de Navegacion.
Peninsula ranked second in Ship & Bunker’s Top 10 Bunker Companies list for 2026.
