StormGeo and OceanScore Expand Emissions Compliance Partnership
Voyage optimisation firm StormGeo and emissions management firm OceanScore have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at helping shipping companies manage increasingly complex emissions regulations.
The agreement, signed during the Posidonia 2026 event in Athens on Tuesday, builds on an existing relationship between the two companies, the two firms said in an emailed statement on Wednesday.
It brings together StormGeo's vessel performance and emissions data capabilities with OceanScore's compliance management services covering EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime and the upcoming UK ETS.
The companies said the cooperation will support shipowners in areas including emissions reporting, data validation, compliance exposure management, pooling arrangements and financial settlement.
“Our cooperation reflects that shipping companies are no longer looking for isolated solutions — they need connected processes, automated across different systems and reliable decision-making throughout the full compliance chain,” Albrecht Grell, Managing Director at OceanScore, said.
“By working with OceanScore, we can help customers connect StormGeo’s validated operational data with commercial compliance processes, creating a more integrated and practical approach to emissions management,” Espen Martinsen, Chief Commercial Officer at StormGeo, said.
Both companies said they expect the cooperation to evolve as new emissions regulations are introduced across the shipping sector.
