Stabilis Supplied Over 150,000 m3 of LNG Bunkers at Galveston
Energy firm Stabilis Solutions has supplied more than 150,000 m3 of LNG through 97 bunkering operations at the Port of Galveston, US.
This milestone makes it the only physical LNG supplier on the US Gulf Coast to have reached 97 LNG bunkering operations, the company said in a LinkedIn post today.
“As the only physical supplier of LNG on the Gulf Coast to reach this milestone, we've earned a reputation as a trusted, proven operator — both with local Galveston stakeholders and with the world's largest cruise operator,” the firm said in the post.
“That trust is reflected in the 10-year LNG offtake agreement we executed in December 2025.”
The company is also advancing its proposed Galveston LNG Facility, which is intended to build on its existing bunkering operations at the port.
The LNG facility in the Port of Galveston is expected to begin production in Q3 2028.
It will have a new bunker barge to support LNG deliveries to LNG-fuelled ships calling at the Galveston and Houston ports.
“The advancement of our proposed Stabilis Galveston LNG Facility is a natural progression of our established LNG bunkering footprint in Galveston,” it said.
The Port of Galveston is located at the entrance to Galveston Bay and the Houston Ship Channel.
