Bunker Prices Continue Mixed Trends in the Americas
Markets in the Americas ended the week showing continued mixed trends for bunker prices, according to Ship & Bunker data.
North America Atlantic prices were generally steady with New York IFO380 remaining at $615.00 per metric tonne (pmt) and Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) at the port making a $1.00 gain to $662.00. Norfolk VA IFO380 dropped $15.00 back to $611.00 pmt, correcting Wednesday's gain.
In the US Gulf and Caribbean IFO prices were steady to soft while distillates gained. Houston IFO380 fell $1.50 to $615.00 per metric tonne (pmt), LS380 dropped $4.00 to $714.50 and MGO was up $3.00 to $1005.50 pmt. MGO in Kingston gained $4.00 to $1017.50, the forth rise since last Friday and a gain of $23.00 in that time.
North America Pacific bunker prices saw some firming, although LA / Long Beach IFO380 was steady at $629.00 pmt as LS380 climbed $0.50 to $740.50 at the port widening the premium for the low sulfur grade to $111.50 pmt. MGO moved up $2.50 to $1027.00 pmt, a week-on-week gain of $14.50.
In South America Valparaiso IFO380 was up $1.50 to $695.50 pmt and MGO moved up $3.50 to $1279.50 pmt, while Santos IFO380 rose $0.50 to $601.00 pmt, LS380 rose $4.00 to $608.00, and MGO was steady at $1001.00 pmt.
