A.P. Møller - Maersk Place €750 Million 7-Year Bonds

Danish shipping and energy conglomerate A.P. Møller - Maersk A/S announced Tuesday it has placed 7-year bonds for a principal amount of €750 million with a coupon of 3.375%.

According to the company press release, the net proceeds from the bond sale will be used for "general corporate purposes."

The bonds will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and documented under the company's €3 billion EMTN programme.

The bonds were placed by Barclays, Danske Bank, ING, J.P. Morgan, Mitsubishi UFJ Securities, and Nordea.

The firm's Maersk Line business says it's fleet currently comprises of over 600 vessels and has a carrying capacity of more than 3.8 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs).
