Former IBIA CEO Adams Named DBTG Executive Director

Ian Adams, the former Chief Executive of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA), has been named executive director of the International Dry Bulk Terminals Group (DBTG), IHS Fairplay reports.
He succeeds Richard Peckham, who recently passed away.
Adams will continue to provide marine consultancy, training, and research through IMA Marine, the company Adams established in 2011, and told Fairplay that IMA Marine would provide secretariat services to both DBTG and IBIA under a three-year contract.
He served as IBIA Chief Executive from February 2009 until July 2011.
