Marine fuel supplier Bunker One is set to add a bunker barge at the Port of Aberdeen’s South Harbour in Scotland, with operations due to start in July 2026.

The barge will improve fuel availability and service for customers in the port, the firm said in a LinkedIn post on Monday.

The barge will supply LSMGO and biofuel blends up to B100.

“South Harbour continues to play an increasingly important role in regional maritime activity, the firm said.

“This investment forms part of our ongoing strategy to strengthen physical supply capabilities across key locations and ensure dependable fuel availability where it matters most.”

The company has not disclosed the name or specifications of the bunker barge.

Bunker One is the physical supply unit of Bunker Holding, the world's largest marine fuels firm.

Last year, Bunker One had acquired assets of UK-based marine fuels firm Quay Energy Solutions.
