Gulf Petrochem in UAE Bunker Supply Expansion Plans
Gulf Petrochem Group (Gulf Petrochem) is planning to expand its bunker operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by adding supply to Khor Fakkan and Jebel Ali.
The company, who says it plans to be a major bunker supplier, will discuss the expansion at the Red Sea and Gulf Bunkering Conference (RESCON) being held in in Dubai over the next 3 days.
In their press release, Group CEO Sanjeev Sisaudia said the move would "satisfy the growing requirements of our regional and global clients," and added that Gulf Petrochem’s mission was to "fortify its stronghold as a leading player in the oil space."
The company is also engaged in a number of other projects across the Middle East and Asia, including the building of an oil terminal in Fujairah, which Group Trading Manager Kalrav Dixit says they have invested over $130 million in.
With an initial capacity of 412,000 cubic meters, they expect to start operations in October of this year.
