Gazpromneft Marine Bunker Performs First Bunkering Under STASCO Contract

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker Wednesday performed the first bunkering operation at the port of Primorsk under a new contract with Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Ltd (STASCO).

According to a report by Russian market specialists PortNews IAA Gazpromneft Marine Bunker bunkering tanker Gazpromneft Zuid supplied 320 tonnes of heavy fuel oil and 650 tonnes of diesel fuel to the tanker Minerva Atlantica at the port of Primorsk.

The contract with STASCO for providing bunker supplies at Primorsk was signed during International Petroleum Week in London.

There is room in the contract to expand the scope of cooperation according to the report. 

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker operates in the sea ports of Russia, among them Vladivostok, Sakhalin, Novorossiysk, Sochi, St Petersburg, Primorsk, Kaliningrad, Murmansk, and Arkhangelsk, as well as the river ports Nizhny Novgorod, Cherepovets, SamaraVolgograd and the international ports of Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia), and Constanta (Romania).

STASCO offers trading and shipping services for shipping oil and gas and is a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc.

In August of 2015 Gazprom Neft reported that its retail sales were up a strong three percent in the first six months of the year.
