Quadrise Reports Progress on Trial Supply Project of Emulsion Bunker Fuel
Quadrise Fuels International plc (Quadrise) Thursday said it is making progress with a planned MSAR emulsion fuel bunker supply trial, and has commenced the shipment of appropriate equipment to Compania Espanola de Petroleos S.A.U. (Cepsa)'s Gibraltar San Roque Refinery.
Civil works that are required for the installation of Quadrise's MSAR Manufacturing Unit (MMU) and associated systems at the designated Marine MSAR production facility within the refinery, were also said to have begun.
"These activities are an integral part of the overall project designed to meet the requirements of the joint Operational Trial Programme, with installation and commissioning of the MMU planned for 1H 2016, as previously communicated," said Quadrise.
As Ship & Bunker reported last September, Quadrise signed the deal with Cepsa in order to trial supplying the alternative marine fuel supplier's emulsion MSAR fuel to Maersk Line ships.
