BUNKER JOBS: Pacific Basin Shipping Seeks Bunker Manager in London

Singapore-based Pacific Basin Shipping Limited is seeking to hire a bunker manager – Atlantic in London.

The company is looking for candidates with 2-5 years of experience in bunker procurement, bunker trading, marine fuels or commercial/operational shipping, it said in a LinkedIn job advertisement today.

The company lists following requirements for the role:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in bunker procurement, bunker trading, marine fuels or commercial/operational shipping.
  • Good knowledge of the physical bunker market, ideally with exposure to Europe and/or the Middle East.
  • Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills, with existing supplier and trader relationships considered an advantage.
  • A good understanding of vessel operations and the practical considerations affecting bunker planning.
  • A genuine interest in oil, bunker and carbon markets, as well as sustainability and shipping decarbonisation.
  • An understanding of marine fuel specifications and bunker quality considerations.
  • The ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment and work effectively across different commercial and operational functions.
