VesselsValue.com Launches New AIS Mapping Service
Online vessel valuation service VesselsValue.com this week announced in an emailed press release the launch of a new, fully integrated AIS mapping feature.
The new service, VV@, uses both satellite and terrestrial AIS signals allowing full deep-sea and coastal coverage, which the company says makes it the first fully integrated data, value, and mapping provider on the market.
Features of the web based service include the ability to distinguish vessels and fleets by ownership, nationality, type, age, builder, laden/ballast, and other specifications, as well as viewing valuations at the same time.
The company says VV@ is also the first map to use colour, intensity and other design techniques in an intelligent way to clearly display large amounts of data.
VesselsValue.com say VV@ is the first of several on-going developments which aim to turn the valuation service into the shipping industry's one-stop-shop for the latest market intelligence.
