Digital platform Bunker Suite has launched integrated AI tools for bunker traders, brokers and physical suppliers, expanding the capabilities of its digital platform.

The tools can process bunker delivery notes (BDNs) and purchase invoices, check trade confirmations against agreed terms and flag discrepancies for review, the firm said in an emailed update on Monday.

They also help trading desks track won and lost enquiries, analyse customer activity and margins, and compare performance across ports, fuel grades and traders.

Users can ask questions in plain language and view the results in tables, charts or exportable reports.

The platform can also prepare counterparty briefings using public research, connected data providers and customers’ internal trade data.

“The aim is to turn messages and paperwork into structured information to act on, with less manual handling,” Mounir Bendouch, managing director of Bunker Suite, said.

"Teams gain a clearer view of their contracts, what needs attention and where the margins are.”

The company plans to develop further AI tools to generate insights and recommendations from customers’ trading and operational data, helping them identify potential risks and commercial opportunities.

Bunker Suite completed its first e-BDN trial with bunker supplier Verde Marine last year.
