Russia's Fuel Oil Output Drops

Production of heavy fuel oil (HFO) in Russia for the four months ended April 2013 fell by 882,200 metric tonnes (mt), or 3.5 percent, to 24.616 million mt compared with the four-month period in 2012, IAA Portnews reports quoting Russian Ministry of Energy data.

However production of diesel fuel in the country for the period edged up 0.8 percent, or 176.6 mt, to 22.852 million mt.

Production of HFO for the month of April 2013 fell 6.5 percent, or 391,600 mt, from last year's monthly figure to 5.629 million mt.

Diesel production for the month was down 3.6-percent, or 190,700 mt, to 5.105 million mt.
