Gulf Petrochem Adopts Bunkertech Software to Streamline Functions
Mid- and downstream oil company Gulf Petrochem Group (Gulf Petrochem) is adopting software to standardise and integrate functions including trading and bunkering, reducing its costs, Inatech, which is providing the system, said in an emailed press release.
The solution includes both the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and its Bunkertech software and is designed to reduce the company's use of manual processes and improve information flow.
"In order to manage our rapid growth, we needed a scalable and integrated platform that would optimize our vital decision making business processes and a solution that would incorporate our trading business life cycle," said Gulf Petrochem Group Director Prerit Goel.
"By combining Inatech's ERP and Bunkertech solution we now have one system that runs across all our businesses.
"This will allow us to minimize costs within our supply chain, optimize our fuel procurement, enable us to see all our business activities as they happen and deliver improvements to our bottom-line profit."
The solution is already in use at Gulf Petrochem's facilities in the United Arab Emirates, and the company plans to bring it to its Asian, South American, and other Middle Eastern offices.
The Bunkertech part of the system will support functions including bunker sales, x-wharf sales, truck sales, bulk trading, risk management, operations, inventory, and invoicing.
"By integrating our bunkering product with our ERP offering we are able to offer Gulf Petrochem a solution that is unique to the oil trading, bunkering, and oil refinery marketplace and that is ideally suited to their business requirements," said Inatech CEO Jean Herve Jenn.
Gulf Petrochem is based in the UAE with locations in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Tanzania, and Switzerland and is seeking to expand its engagement in international energy markets, according to its website.
