Rotterdam IFO Up as Many European Bunker Prices Firm

Bunker prices were largely firm across Europe according to Ship & Bunker data, while posted prices in Jeddah saw IFO380 and IFO180 losing $30.00 and $25.00 pmt respectively, and MGO in the port was down $50.00 pmt. Port Said also saw heavy losses with IFO380 down $58.00, and MGO losing $94.50 pmt.

Rotterdam IFO380 was up $4.50 to $594.50 per metric tonne (pmt), rising $10.00 week-on-week, and up $8.50 from December 3, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was down $0.50 to $628.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $33.50 pmt. MGO moved down $0.50 to $934.50 pmt, the same price as last Thursday.

Fujairah IFO380 climbed $2.00 to $609.50 pmt, rising $2.50 week-on-week, and $3.00 up from a month ago today. MGO climbed $0.50 to $1007.00 pmt, $2.50 higher than a week ago, and down $14.50 month-on-month.

Istanbul IFO380 climbed $11.00 to $631.00 pmt, making a $13.00 gain from last Thursday, and $11.50 higher than December 3, 2012. MGO moved up $13.50 to $1000.00 pmt, $11.50 higher than last week, and down $1.50 from this time last month.

Piraeus IFO380 rose $13.00 to $614.50 pmt, making a $15.00 week-on-week gain, and up $11.00 from December 3, 2012. LS380 rose $8.50 to $667.50 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $53.00 pmt. MGO moved up $11.00 to $968.50 pmt, $8.00 higher than last week.
