Thursday Bunker Prices Lack Direction

Ship & Bunker price data showed a variety of movements in key indicator ports as IFO380 moved up in Singapore and Fujairah while negative movements were seen in Rotterdam and Houston.

Singapore IFO380 ended two consecutive days of losses and moved up $3.00 to $631.00 per metric tonne (pmt), while MGO moved up for a second consecutive day gaining $6.00 to $916.00 pmt.

Hong Kong saw IFO380 and MGO move down for a second consecutive day, both dropping $1.00 to put the price at $642.50 and $918.50 respectively.

In Rotterdam IFO380 fell for a second consecutive day losing $1.50 to bring the price to $608.50, while MGO moved up $2.00 to $906.00 pmt.

Fujairah 380 cSt product gained $0.50 to $638.50 pmt, and MGO was up $2.00 to $1001.00 pmt.

Houston IFO380 and 1.00% maximum sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) both moved down for a second consecutive day dropping $2.50 to $611.50 and $1.00 to $715.00 pmt respectively, while MGO fell $8.50 to $939.50 pmt.

LA / Long Beach saw IFO380 move up for a second consecutive day gaining $3.50 to $618.00, and LS380 moved down for the first time this week dropping $1.50 to $867.00 pmt.

Thursday's WTI spot price dropped $1.78 (-2.00%) to close at $87.13 per barrel.
