Big Gains for Bunker Prices on Monday

The week opened with many global ports seeing double-digit gains following a sharp rise in crude at the end of last week.

In Singapore IFO380 prices moved up $10.00 to $585.50, while MGO gained $29.00 putting the price at $844.50 per metric tonne (pmt).

Hong Kong IFO380 gained $11.50 raising the price to $598.00, and MDO added $8.50 to last Friday's $824.50 bringing the price to $833.00.

Rotterdam IFO380 bunker prices moved up for a sixth consecutive day, today rising $8.50 to $560.00 pmt, while MGO was up to $843.00, a gain of $22.00.

Fujairah 380 cSt product had a third consecutive day of gains, up $12.00 Monday to $592.50.

Houston IFO380 prices gained for a fourth consecutive day in the U.S. Gulf port, rising $17.00 to $570.00, with MGO moving up $20.50 to $875.50.

LA / Long Beach saw IFO380 move up $28.00 to $601.50 the highest price since $606.50 on June 11, 2012.

Crude saw the week open with the Monday WTI spot price dropping $1.21 to close at $83.75 per barrel.
