A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. (Dan-Bunkering) today announced in an emailed press release it has appointed the former CEO of International Bunkering Middle East DMCC (International Bunkering) as its new head of operations for Europe/Asia.

Carsten Ladekjær, whose appointment was effective June 1, 2013, will be based at the company's headquarter in Middelfart, Denmark.

Dan-Bunkering said Ladekjær will manage the overall operational responsibility of several of the company's departments around the world, and has several years of knowledge and experience of the bunker business having started his career with Dan-Bunkering 18 years ago as a trainee.

In 2006 he was promoted to Senior Bunker Trader, and in 2008 moved to the Middle East to pursue a career as Managing Director & CEO of International Bunkering.

"I am very pleased to have Carsten back in Denmark and that he will be a part of Dan-Bunkering again. The fact that he has been with us for 13 years before he decided to go abroad, does that he already has thorough knowledge about Dan-Bunkering's values and procedures," said Dan-Bunkering CEO Henrik Zederkof.

"With his background and the experience he has gained in connection with his five years in Dubai, I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to our company and its further development."

Ship & Bunker reported yesterday that Christoffer Berg Lassen has been appointed as International Bunkering's new Chief Executive Officer.
