Prices For Key Grades Still Softening Overall
Monday April 23, 2012
The week opened with mixed movements for global prices of key grades IFO380 and IFO180 as crude continues to float just above the 100$/ bbl mark, closing down at $102.66 a barrel.
Mediterranean and Black Sea bunker hub Piraeus is seeing gradually rising low sulphur prices but this is not reflected in Rotterdam where all fuel grades appear to continue on a decline.
Prices were generally down across the Americas, with US Gulf distillates and North American Pacific Coast ports showing some of the only, albeit small, gains.
The Asia Pacific, and Middle East and Africa regions were also mixed with Hong Kong the only port with any significant downward movement for IFO380.
The overall trend for the month remains down.
