Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) is to supply PetroChina with 2 million barrels of 3 percent maximum sulfur content fuel oil, a person said to have knowledge of the transaction has told Bloomberg News.
PDVSA awarded the spot tender on March 8, 2013, 2 days after the original March 6 deadline.
It will load the fuel oil from Bonaire port from March 30, 2013 to April 1, according to the tender document obtained by Bloomberg.
In January PetroChina-TAFO was named as one of five bonded bunker traders on the list of China's top ten fuel oil importers in 2012.
