Global Bunker Prices Fall During October

Global bunker prices fell during the month of October, Ship & Bunker data has shown, with many ports seeing IFO380 prices fall back from their mid September highs, to just below the level they were at 3 months ago.

Singapore IFO380 fell $34.50 during the month, starting at $654.00 per metric tonne (pmt), peaking just $0.50 higher at $654.50 the following day, and ending the month at $619.50 pmt.

For the three months ended October 31, 2012, IFO380 was down just $9.00 from $628.50 pmt on July 1, 2012 having peaked during the period at $691.50 pmt on September 14, 2012.

Rotterdam IFO380 dropped $36.50 having started the month at $634.00 pmt, falling to $597.50 pmt after a high of $635.50 on October 2, 2012.

For the three month period the product was down $14.00 after a high of $668.50 on September 14, 2012.

Fujairah 380 cSt product fell $35.00 in October, never rising past $656.00 pmt recorded on October 1, 2012, and ended the month at $621.00 pmt.

July 1, 2012's price was $636.00 making the 3 month change a drop of $15.00 after a high of $700.50 on September 4, 2012.

Houston IFO380, like Rotterdam, was down $36.50 over the month, starting at $645.00, also the highest price in that time, and ending at $608.50.

The product was $620.50 pmt on July 1, 2012 making it a fall of $12.00 over the three months ended October 31, 2012.
