Singapore Bunker Supplier Dismisses Bankruptcy Rumours

Rumours circulating the Singapore bunker market suggesting Searights Maritime Services Pte Ltd (Searights) has filed for bankruptcy are untrue, the supplier has told Ship & Bunker.

Searights added that it had no further comment to make on the matter at this time.

Last year Searights placed 12th in the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) list of top bunker suppliers by volume, having been ranked 14th and 16th in 2014 and 2013 respectively.

Cecil Cheong, the company's former CEO and well known industry figure, passed away last November.
