Gazprom Export has opened a new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunker facility in Pskov, Russia.

As part of the openeing ceremony, the company says it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tallinn-headquartered Eesti Gaas that will see Estonia supplied with LNG produced at the plant which will be used as bunker fuel for marine vessels.

"Commissioning of a new state-of-the-art plant will allow using an environmentally-friendly energy source more actively - both domestically and Europe-wide," said Director General of Gazprom Export Elena Burmistrova.

"It is important that plant's products will be used in such a promising sector of the European market as ship bunkering."

Gazprom Export says it also plans to supply products from the plant to traditional European markets, to serve autonomous gasification and road transport fueling.
