Traders last week said that Trafigura Beheer BV (Trafigura) has signed a forward financing deal with Russia's Rosneft forĀ 1 million tonnes of bunker fuel from Nakhodka in 2016, Reuters reports.

The deal will also see Rosneft supply Trafigura with 2.9 million tonnes of 500 ppm sulfur diesel at Nakhodka during 2016, and 3 million tonnes of ultra-low sulfur diesel from the Baltic Sea port of Primorsk.

Neither Trafigura or Rosneft have commented on the deal.

Last month Rosneft reported it received more than 1 trillion roubles ($15 billion) in pre-payments for its long-term supply contracts with customers during the third quarter.

In November, it was reported that Trafigura's Singapore-based subsidiary Puma Energy International is constructing a major new fuel storage tank facility at one of the largest ports in the Southeast Asian nation of Myanmar.
