Bomin Linde LNG Wednesday announced that it has secured the largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunker supply vessel of its kind through a time-charter contract with shipowner Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement Ltd. (Bernhard Schulte).

The time-charter contract for the 7,500 m3 LNG bunkering vessel is noted to have been signed on September 30, and will see Bomin Linde LNG use the ship to supply marine customers and small-scale LNG terminals along the Baltic Sea coast.

"The share of LNG as a marine fuel will grow significantly in the Baltic Sea over the next few years. We intend to be at the front, leading the development," said Mahinde Abeynaike, CEO of Bomin Linde LNG.

The time-charter is noted to have been established through a joint venture between Bomin Linde LNG (90 percent), and Klaipėdos Nafta (10 percent).

Bomin Group, the former 50 percent joint venture partner in Bomin Linde LNG, earlier this week said it had sold its stake to JV partner Linde AG (Linde).
