Bunkering at some ports in Taiwan has been halted due to Typhoon Matmo, which is expected to make landfall in the country on Tuesday night local time.

State-owned CPC Corporation, the country's main bunker supplier, this morning said in an emailed statement that bunker operations at Suao and Hualien port are currently suspended.

Operations at Keelung, Taichung, and Kaohsiung port are currently proceeding as normal.

Typhoon Matmo is currently east of the northern Philippines and is the region's third typhoon in less than three weeks, Weather.com reports.

On Thursday Matmo is expected to make landfall in eastern China south of Shanghai, most likely in the provinces of Fujian or Zhejiang.
