Bomin Appoints Global Head of Bunker Operations as Supplier Eyes Global Growth

The Bomin Group today announced what it described as "significant appointments" to its leadership team "in order to create a solid foundation for further growth in the coming years."

Jan Christensen, previously a regional manager for the Group, has been appointed as the Group's Global Head of Bunker Operations.

"In his new position, Jan Christensen will take over the responsibility for further developing the company's global infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of service and products' excellence across all regions, and building closer, dynamic relationships with customers," said Bomin.

"The creation of this new position within the Bomin Group reflects the company's commitment to these areas and objectives set out in the company's strategy."

In addition, effective April 1, 2016 Thomas Roller has been appointed as the sole Managing Director of Bomin Bunker Holding, while Thomas Johannsen, former joint Managing Director of Bomin Bunker Holding, has been appointed Director Public Affairs of Marquard & Bahls.

Bomin is 100 percent owned by Mabanaft, which is the trading division of Marquard & Bahls,

Last November Bomin Group announced the appointment of Kieran Michael Brown, formerly the Global Credit Director at Bunkers International, as a Credit Management specialist.
