DNV GL Fuel Saving Performance Management System Deployed Across Leonhardt & Blumberg's Entire Fleet
DNV GL has announced that Hamburg-based shipping company Leonhardt & Blumberg is now using its fuel saving ECO Insight fleet performance management solution on its entire 40-vessel fleet.
"Improving fuel efficiency is high on our agenda to remain attractive for our customers," said Frank Leonhardt, Chairman of Leonhardt & Blumberg.
"With ECO Insight we will gain further transparency to harvest even more savings potentials."
DNV GL says ECO Insight provides a range of easily accesible way to manage the performance of a fleet, including voyage, hull & propeller, engine & systems performance.
"Already in the trial last year we could point the customer to specific optimisation potentials with our advanced analytics," said Dr. Torsten Büssow, DNV GL's Head of Fleet Performance Management.
"We are very pleased that a quality shipping company like Leonhardt & Blumberg has chosen to implement our solution."
In November, Büssow said that fleet performance management is the next trend for energy management, providing significant benefits to shipowners, managers and operators.
