Dan-Bunkering Appoints Sales Manager for New Houston Office
"Global yet local" marine fuel and lubricant supplier A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. (Dan Bunkering) has announced its Copenhagen based Bunker Trader Jim Jensen will be promoted to Sales Manager as part of the firm's expansion into the Americas.
Ship & Bunker reported in March that Dan Bunkering was to open an office in Houston, Texas, by mid 2012 which would be headed by longtime Dan-Bunkering employee Hans Lind Dollerup.
Jim, who prior to joining Dan Bunkering in 2008 worked at Chevron Denmark, will join the former Monaco office based Dollerup, who will be Managing Director, as part of the Houston office start up.
"We believe that when having Hans and Jim starting up the office from the very beginning, we will be able to create a very successful team in Houston. Furthermore, we expect to recruit more traders in the near future", said Dan Bunkering CEO Henrik Zederkof.
Mr Jensen, who speaks English, German, and Danish, says "learning and understanding new cultures is essential in achieving good and strong relationships with clients and co-workers."
