DNV GL has announced that it will host a series of webinars to provide guidance on the EU Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) scheme.

As Ship & Bunker has previously reported, shipping companies must submit ship-specific monitoring plans to verifiers for approval by the end of the August 2017, with per-voyage monitoring set to start on January 1, 2018.

DNV GL's webinars will provide overviews of the MRV regulation, and cover required data systems, monitoring plan development, and emission report verification.

"This webinar is mainly relevant for owners and managers operating ships in European waters," explains the company.

DNV GL's webinar be hosted on:

  • December 9 at 9 a.m. CET
  • December 15 at 9 a.m. CET
  • December 15 at 4 p.m. CET

Torsten Büssow, Head of DNV GL - Maritime's Fleet Performance Management, and Nils Wegener, DNV GL - Maritime's MRV Project Manager will be the session presenters.
