EMEA Bunker Price Movements Remain Mixed

Bunker price movements in the EMEA region remained mixed today, but Ship & Bunker data showed IFO380 in key ports Rotterdam and Fujairah fall for the first time in over a week.

Rotterdam IFO380 fell $0.50 to $646.00 per metric tonne (pmt), up $2.50 from last Thursday, and $19.00 higher month-on-month. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) was down $1.00 to $694.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $48.00 pmt. MGO moved down $1.00 to $1002.00 pmt, an increase of $2.50 week-on-week.

Fujairah IFO380 was down $2.00 to $662.00 pmt, $9.00 higher than this time last week, and up $41.50 since January 14, 2013. MGO remained at $1009.00 pmt, up $3.00 week-on-week, and an increase of $6.00 month-on-month.

Istanbul IFO380 gained for a second consecutive day rising $2.50 to $676.50 pmt, up $8.00 since last Thursday, and rising $18.00 month-on-month. MGO in the port moved up $2.00 to $1068.50 pmt, $17.00 higher than this time last week, and up $53.00 since January 14, 2013.

Piraeus IFO380 was up $1.50 to $666.50 pmt, an increase of $8.50 week-on-week, and $29.50 higher than this time last month. LS380 fell $7.50 to $741.00 making the premium for the ECA compliant fuel $74.50 pmt. MGO in Piraeus was steady at $1038.00 pmt, up $7.50 since last Thursday.
