Rotterdam IFO380 Gains $40.50 in January
Bunker prices in the EMEA region were mostly firm on Thursday, according to Ship & Bunker data, with a number of key ports seeing IFO380 make week-on-week gains of between $5.00 and $13.00 per metric tonne (pmt).
Rotterdam IFO380 climbed $5.50 to $627.00 pmt, rising $12.00 week-on-week, and up $40.50 since December 31, 2012. Low sulfur 380 cSt product (LS380) climbed $4.50 to $660.00 making the premium for the Emissions Control Area (ECA) compliant fuel $33.00 pmt. MGO rose $15.00 to $983.50 pmt, an increase of $28.50 since last Thursday.
Fujairah IFO380 moved up for a third consecutive day rising $0.50 to $635.50 pmt, up $13.00 week-on-week, and $31.00 higher than this time last month. MGO was steady at $997.00 pmt, $1.00 higher than last Thursday, and losing $9.00 month-on-month.
Istanbul IFO380 fell $0.50 to $656.50 pmt, an increase of $5.50 since this time last week, and $37.50 higher than December 31, 2012. MGO moved up $4.50 to $1035.00 pmt, up $13.50 week-on-week, and an increase of $41.50 month-on-month.
Piraeus IFO380 climbed $2.50 to $645.00 pmt, $9.50 higher than last Thursday, and up $42.50 since this time last month. LS380 rose $7.50 to $720.50 making the premium for the low sulfur grade $75.50 pmt. MGO rose $4.50 to $1005.00 pmt, up $12.00 week-on-week.
