Strong Gains for Bunker Prices on Tuesday
Bunker prices firmed across the globe Tuesday, with double-digit gains for key grade IFO380 in Singapore, Houston, Hong Kong, and Rotterdam moving their price to the highest level since May 31, 2012.
Singapore IFO380 was up $14.00 to $617.00, the highest price since $626.50 on May 31, 2012 and $5.50 higher than the previous high of $611.50 on July 5, 2012.
Singapore MGO moved up $13.50 to $889.00 per metric tonne (pmt).
Hong Kong saw IFO380 climb $12.50 to $630.50 pmt, the highest price since $651.50 on May 31, 2012.
Rotterdam IFO380 moved up $11.00 to $599.00 pmt, $6.50 less than the previous high of $605.50 on May 31, 2012, while MGO gained $13.00 to $891.50.
Fujairah 380 cSt product gained $10.00 to $622.00 pmt, the highest price since $628.00 on June 1, 2012.
In Houston IFO380 climbed $10.00 to $598.50 pmt, the highest price since $608.00 on May 31, 2012.
LA / Long Beach saw IFO380 climb for a second consecutive day up $1.00 to $616.50.
The Tuesday WTI spot price moved up for the fifth consecutive market day gaining $0.79 to close at $89.22 per barrel.
