Twenty New Companies Sign Singapore Green Pledge

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) says that 20 new companies have signed a pledge to promote environmentally friendly shipping in Singapore.

The new firms bring the total signers to the Maritime Singapore Green Pledge to 60.

The new signers are Asian Lift Pte Ltd, Boskalis International (S) Pte Ltd, Eastern Navigation Pte Ltd, Ezra Holdings Ltd, J. Lauritzen Singapore Pte Ltd, Keppel Smit Towage Pte Ltd, Maersk Tankers Singapore Pte Lte, Maju Maritime Pte Lte, Oil Spill Response Ltd, Orient Express Lines, Pacific Radiance Ltd., Posh Semco Pte Ltd, PSA Marine (PTe) Ltd, Singapore Cruise Centre Pte Ltd, SMIT Singapore Pte Ltd, Stolt-Nielsen Singapore, Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd), The China Navigation Co. Pte Ltd, and Western Shipping Pte Ltd.

The pledge program was launched in 2011 as part of the Maritime Singapore Green Initiative, which consists of Singapore's Green Ship Programme, Green Port Programme, and Green Technology Programme.

Thirteen companies signed the pledge last October.
