Pakistan's Ocean Bunkers Adds Another Bunker Barge to Fleet
Monday January 12, 2015
Karachi-based Ocean Bunkers has announced in an emailed statement it has further expanded its fleet of bunker barges with the addition of another owned self-propelled barge.
The new vessel will facilitate deliveries of up to 1,500 metric tonnes (mt) of IFO180.
The bunker supplier said the move allows it to supply bunkers across the "entire Pakistan coast line" and noted its intent to cover the recently developed Gawader Port Area.
Ocean Bunkers also noted that availability was "much better" at Port Karachi-Port Bin Qasim, which would be of benefit to container ships and oil tankers who have very short stays at berth.
In October the supplier announced the addition of a fifth vessel to its bunker supply fleet.
