Neste Jacobs Completes EPCM Services at Skangas' Pori LNG Import Terminal
Neste Jacobs Monday announced that it has completed a two-year Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) project for Skangas AS' (Skangas') 30 000 m³ liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal, which is equipped for LNG bunkering.
The terminal is also noted to be fully equipped for unloading ships, storing LNG, truck loading, and distribution of regasified LNG by pipeline to an industrial park.
"The Pori terminal is the first LNG terminal in Finland and we at Skangas are satisfied to have this challenging project successfully completed as planned," said Tommy Mattila, Sales and Marketing Director of Skangas.
"This terminal boasts lots of modern technology and automation and we are looking forward to straightforward and reliable operation for years to come."
Pori LNG terminal, which began operations in July 2016, is said to have had the its safety of its operation secured through Neste Jacobs' process of risk evaluations and safety automation assessments.

Last year, Ship & Bunker reported that the European Commission (EC) had granted approval to Finnish government plans to provide €23.44 million ($26.11 million) in funding for the €81 million ($90.13 million) project to develop the Pori LNG bunkering terminal.
