Alfa Laval Win First PureSOx Scrubber Order

Alfa Laval have won their first order for Alfa Laval PureSOx exhaust gas cleaning systems, the company has announced.
The scrubber order, which was placed in late December 2012, is worth approximately SEK 60 million ($9.2 million) and will be delivered during 2013.
The Swedish company said that it was unable to disclose the name of the customer or other details about the order due to a confidentiality agreement.
According to the company's website, the PureSOx hybrid scrubber has a sulfur removal rate in excess of 98%, and can use either sea water or fresh water giving it "both environmental and economical advantages."
