A liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering facility planned for Mõntu Harbour in Estonia will not proceed - at least not at the scale previously announced, according to Estonian media.

"Nothing will come," Mihkel Undrest, a board member of port owner Mõntu Sadam AS, was quoted by the Baltic News Service (BNS) as saying.

"We have been contacted, but we have determined that this project will not be carried out at such a location in such volumes."

The comments come in contrast to earlier reports that, as Ship & Bunker reported last month, Russia's LNG Gorskaya LLC (LNG Gorskaya) and  authorities of Mõntu Harbour signed an agreement of intent with LNG Gorskaya Overseas Ou (LNG Gorskaya Overseas) for the development of a LNG bunkering centre at the harbour.
