United Kingdom (UK) based independent fuel and lubricants distributor, GB Oils, says it has changed its name to Certas Energy.

"Over recent years, the business has experienced a successful period of growth as well as a number of acquisitions and we felt that, in the process, we evolved into something more than the GB Oils brand," said Managing Director Paul Vian.

"Our core values remain unchanged but we've refreshed the company with a new and exciting brand identity that we feel more accurately reflects what we're about as a business – our ambition and our dedication to the customers and markets we serve."

The company said it had been limited in its ability to promote itself under the GB Oils name because of trademark restrictions.

Certas Energy offers all grades of marine fuels, as well as and lubricants, with depots near all major UK ports, an ex pipe facility at Aberdeen, and barging on the Thames river, according to its website.
