Gazpromneft Marine Bunker Buys Black Sea Oil Terminal
Gazpromneft Marine Bunker has acquired an oil products terminal at the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, PortNews Informational-Analytic Agency (PortNews IAA) reports.
The company, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, bought the Novorossiysk Petrotransshipment Complex (NNK) from Deloports.
The terminal, which was commissioned in May of 2012, handled over 300,000 tonnes of oil products over the first 11 months of 2013, providing light and dark oil products and working with bunker suppliers in Russia.
"In 11 months of 2013 NNK represented approximately 7% of DELOPORTS throughput and approximately 3 % in revenues," said Deloports CEO Timofey Telyatnik.
"The sale of the oil products terminal will allow DELOPORTS to focus on its strategic segments – containers and grain handling."
A bunkering subsidiary of Deloports, TOS, was not included in the deal and will continue operations in the Novorossiysk bunkering market.
NNK and TOS have signed a three-year agreement on cargo handling.
Earlier this year, Gazpromneft Marine Bunker acquired a fuel supplier operating at another Black Sea port, Constanţa, Romania.
