Crude markets started the week off mixed, looking for a direction.

Some of it was found in Libya where Islamist-allied militias are fighting for control of Tripoli, raising concerns over whether the recent increase in crude production there will continue.

Closer to home WTI continued it's descent as the market remains well supplied heading into refinery maintenance season.

Recent US macroeconomic factors have not supported an increase in oil demand in the near term and there are no signs of a shortage coming.
