Ardmore Shipping Corporation has announced it has taken delivery of the third of four newbuild eco-vessels equipped with various fuel-saving systems.

The 49,999 DWT product and chemical tanker Ardmore Seawolf will reportedly join its sister ships Ardmore Seafox and Ardmore Sealion, all of which were built by South Korea's SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd

"The addition of the Ardmore Seawolf demonstrates our constant commitment to growing Ardmore’s fleet through the addition of state-of-the-art, high quality and efficient vessels to our fleet.," the company said.

"With an average age of under four and a half years, the Ardmore fleet is among the youngest in the industry."

As with the other ships, the tanker is equipped with the SkySails Performance Manager

All of the ships have reportedly been scheduled for delivery this year, with the remaining ship expected to be received in the fourth quarter.

Earlier this year, CEO Anthony Gurnee alsosaid that the company welcomed the ships "during a time when the charter market for modern MR product and chemical tankers remains at multi-year highs."
