Maersk Line's 8,160 TEU containership Susan Maersk ran aground while travelling through the Suez Canal last weekend, Tradewinds reports

The company said that there had been no collisions, contrary to earlier rumours.

“She was helped off the sand bank at 14hrs CET Sunday and has resumed her voyage," Maersk Line said.

"There are no damages in any way to the ship, crew or cargo.”

In 2013 the another Maersk Line box ship, the Emma Maersk, was towed to shore following a mechanical problem in the Suez Canal.
