The Bomin Group Tuesday announced it has opened a new office in Nakhodka on the Sea of Japan to provide a full range of bunker and gas oil across all ports along Russia's Far East coast.

The company said that fuel will be sourced directly from local refineries and delivered by trusted suppliers.

Bomin will also act as the exclusive bunker agent for vessels requiring bunker only, and exclusive berthing at one of Nakhodka's main terminals will be arranged in order to avoid long waits and minimize down time.

Susanna Lai, managing director, Bomin Hong Kong, said that "Given the lower cost of fuels available at Russia's Far East ports, we have been seeing a steady upward trend in demand for the full range of marine fuel and gasoil in the region."

She added that opening a Far East office "is in line with our strategy to provide our customers with quality products and delivering solutions that save them both time and money."

The Far East office will be headed by Alexander Beliakov, a bunker trader from Nakhodka Portbunker Co. Ltd.

Bomin announced in April that it would expand its operations in the Baltic region in 2015, including growth and expansion in Europe.
