Djibouti Player Reports Growing Bunker Volumes
Djibouti-based Red Sea Bunkering (RSB) today has announced improving volumes for both its offshore and inshore business over the first four months of its operations.
While exact volumes were not given, RSB said Djibouti was attracting a growing number of vessels that are passing through the Red Sea area "thanks to good availability of products, operations reliability, and timing efficiency especially in this tough and demanding market."
"The safety and security in the area are some other important factors of their commercial development gradually. Tankers, bulk carriers and containerships, especially MSC, call Djibouti for refueling on a permanent basis as prices become more competitive and the operations more cost effective," RSB added.
"Djibouti is now established as a very efficient and safe bunkering hub for Red Sea Channel."
Last November Ship & Bunker reported RSB had officially supplied its first STS customer off Djibouti.
