Russia's state-owned Rosneft Oil Company says it will work on energy projects in the Republic of Croatia including bunkering activity.

The company and the Croatia Ministry of Economy have signed a "Joint Statement of Interest to invest in the energy sector of the Republic of Croatia."

The two parties have identified possible areas for cooperation, including bunkering activity in Croatian commercial ports and investments in infrastructure for oil and petroleum product transfer, storage, and transportation.

Rosneft and the Ministry of Economy will create a working group to analyse these opportunities and identify other areas for collaboration.

Having started its bunkering business in 2007, Rosneft supplies marine fuel in major Russian bunkering regions and in the Baltic, Mediterranean, Far East, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans areas through its subsidiaries, Rosneft Marine and RN-Bunker, according to the Rosneft Marine website.
